1st Annual 80's-90's ThrowBack Party-When Music Was Interesting

Remember the time when you use to wake up every tuesday morning to rush down to the local record store to cop the newest cassette tape or cd? Remember that good feeling you use to have when you got back home with that new Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, BBD, Tribe Called Quest or Salt & Pepa single, and get the chance to hear it on your parent's house speakers? Remember reading the credits as you listen to see who written the song or produced the track? It seems so long ago when urban music was "interesting". The 80's & 90's were the BEST years of hip hop, rap & rhythm & blues music. People who grew up in the 80's/90's have no reason to want to go out to the clubs in 2011. The most common excuse is: "I dont really want to go to club anymore because that crowd, these days are a little too rowdy." We, along with Lee & Foe Ent. have a solution for that..

We are calling it, "The 1st Annual 80's-90's Throwback Party" on Aug 13th, 2011. Time 10pm-2am at Club Posh(1713 E.Main St, Richmond,VA). Calling out all my people who enjoy that REAL music. We are also asking folks to throw on their 80's/90's gear to set the visual. (kangols, Levi's,shell-toes adidas, bamboo earrings, etc.). The 80's/90's gear is preferred but not recommended.
Come on out and celebrate good music with us. We here at Go Live Radio cater to the listeners & party goers who appreciate GOOD MUSIC. So this is our gift to you. #GoLive

Lil Roc & Mr.80Foe gets "RVA" Love on WTVR Channel 6 News

It was Valentines Night, and I just enjoyed a wonderful dinner with the women of my life(wife & daughters). I decided to hit the sack early(9ish). Now usually on a Monday night, me & the wife sit in front of the TV to watch the "Bad Girls Club(thats my joint),but I had a wondeful weekend and needed much rest for the days to come. I get a phone call from my homie Va-Tek at 11:15pm. I saw that he was calling, but was too tired to answer my cell, so i figured whatever it was, he would facebook me about it.lol. So when I woke up the next morning, I logged on facebook and saw a post that Va-Tek wrote talking about Channel 6(Richmond) News showed your video on a segment about "RVA." So the first thing I thought was, "What video & Why?" Va-Tek provided a link of the segment also, so I checked it out. It just so happens that the Officials of Richmond, Va have now considered to adopt the letters "RVA" to represent "Richmond, VA." We(when I say we, I'm basically talking about the artists,dj's & musicians of Richtown, VA) have been refering to Richmond as the"RVA" for at least 2 decades. Finally the city is getting hip to the slang!lol..Anyway, they used Lil Roc & Mr.80foe's video "Anutha Day" to represent Richmond Hip Hop(which they should have!!). To see full video click on youtube version here:

I wanna thank Mr. Mark Holmberg & WTVR 6 News for using Lil Roc & Mr.80Foe's video in their segment. That was a good look. To see segment click on title above: "Lil Roc & Mr.80foe gets "RVA"Love on WTVR Channel 6 News"

I LOVE MY CITY MANE!!!!!!!
